About the tour

Are you ready to climb the Matterhorn? This is your chance to experience one of the most iconic peaks in the world, alongside a certified mountain guide.

Your journey will begin at the Hörnli hut in the early morning. From there, you will take on steep and rocky paths. The climb is direct and challenging, leading you to the distinctive and sharp summit of the Matterhorn.The climb typically takes 9 to 12 hours for both ascent and descent. Once you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views across the Swiss Alps. It's a moment to mark off your bucket list!

Our experienced mountain guides are here to ensure your climb is safe and successful. They will support you every step of the way, from preparation through to your triumphant descent. We'll help you secure a guide for this  unforgettable adventure!

Climb the Matterhorn (4'478 m.a.s.l.) accompanied by a IFMGA certified mountain guide. Below you'll find details about the tour.

General

• Level: AD / 4 + (UIAA) / F4

• Number of people: Guide to guest ratio is 1:1 for this climb

• Season: July-September

Example Itinerary

• Day 1: Preparation climb, f.ex. Breithorn half traverse. Overnight in hut.

• Day 2: Walk to Hörnlihütte. Potentially sharpen some techniques, if needed.

• Day 3: Ascent of the Matterhorn. Descent & back to Zermatt.

Pricing

• Matterhorn ascent price: CHF 1700
• Preparation climbs: from CHF 700, per day

a 5% booking fee applies

Additional costs

Cable cars for you and the guide
Overnight stay in Hörnli hut: CHF 150 for you and CHF 150 for the guide. Dinner & breakfast included.
Equipment: All necessary equipment can be rented.
Other expenses: Travel expenses for the guide (if applicable), meals

NOTE: In case of unsuitable conditions, another activity is proposed by the guide. The guide also reserves the right to propose another activity if the level of the client is not suitable for the tour.
