1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Guidezone platform and services (the “Service”).
1.2 By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept them, you may not use the Service.
1.3 "Guidezone AB" (hereafter, "Guidezone") operates the Service.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 Guidezone provides a platform connecting users (“Guests”) with independent third-party guides (“Guides”).
2.2 Guests can explore and book Guides’ services (“Listings”). Bookings form a client relationship directly between Guests and Guides, not with Guidezone.
2.3 Guidezone facilitates communication, payments, and scheduling but is not responsible for the execution of the services delivered by Guides.

3. Payments

3.1 Payments for Bookings are securely processed via Stripe, our third-party payment partner.
3.2 By using the Service, you agree to Stripe’s terms and conditions.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Guests may cancel their bookings within the following guidelines:

  • Within 24 Hours of Booking: 100% refund, minus administration fees and incurred Guide expenses. (Not applicable for last-minute bookings made within seven (7) days of the tour.)
  • 30+ Days Before Tour Date: 75% refund, minus administration fees and incurred Guide expenses.
  • 15-29 Days Before Tour Date: 50% refund, minus administration fees and incurred Guide expenses.
  • Less Than 15 Days Before Tour Date: No refund provided.

4.2 If a Guide cancels a tour due to personal reasons, Guidezone will endeavor to find a substitute Guide. If no substitute is available, a full refund will be processed.
4.3 Refunds are not provided in the following scenarios:

  • External closures (e.g., ski lifts or rail services) due to weather or natural events.
  • Guest inability to participate due to illness, accident, or other personal reasons.
  • Activities started but not completed due to Guest fitness, skill, or weather conditions.

4.4 Refunds are processed manually. Contact support at support@guidezone.co.

5. Guest Participation

5.1 Guests are required to truthfully disclose all relevant health, skill, and experience information to the Guide.
5.2 Participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks. Guides need to perform their guiding according to alpine standards for IFMGA-certified guides, but can not guarantee full safety due to the inherent risk of performing activities in the mountains. Guests acknowledge that they undertake such activities at their own risk.
5.3 Guests are strongly encouraged to have:

  • Accident Insurance: Covering injuries, evacuations, and associated costs.
  • Cancellation Insurance: Protecting against non-refundable cancellations.

5.4 Guests must comply with Guides’ instructions and safety measures. Failure to comply may result in termination of the activity without refund.

6. Program Changes

6.1 Substitute Tours
6.1.1 If the agreed-upon tour cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, conditions), the Guide must propose a substitute tour or activity for the same period.
6.1.2 If the Guest accepts the substitute activity, it will be conducted at the originally agreed fee.
6.1.3 If the Guest declines the proposed substitute, the cancellation and refund policy outlined in these Terms applies.

6.2 Alternative Regions or Locations
6.2.1 If the originally agreed area or course location is inaccessible or deemed unsuitable (e.g., due to weather or restrictions), the Guide must propose an alternative region or location for the activity.
6.2.2 If the Guest agrees to the alternative, the activity will be conducted at the originally agreed fee. However, any additional costs related to cancellations for transport or accommodations are the responsibility of the Guest.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Unauthorized use of Guidezone trademarks or content is prohibited.

8. Tour Termination (after the tour has started)

8.1 By the Guide (Service Provider)
8.1.1 For safety reasons, single-day activities canceled by the Guide will still require the full payment of fees unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
8.1.2 For multi-day activities canceled by the Guide for personal reasons, only the work already completed will be charged, and any remaining amounts will be refunded.
8.1.3 The Guide reserves the right to cancel activities in cases of Guest non-compliance (e.g., withholding necessary health or skill information) or external factors beyond the Guide’s control. In such cases, the Guest is responsible for covering the full agreed fees and any cancellation costs incurred.

8.2 By the Guest
Guests who terminate an ongoing activity for personal reasons, including illness, accident, or inability to continue, are liable for the full agreed fees as well as any additional costs incurred, such as lodging cancellations or transport arrangements.

9. Communications

9.1 By booking a tour, you consent to receive newsletters and promotional emails.
9.2 You may opt out at any time by contacting support or using the unsubscribe link in emails.

10. Limitations of Liability

10.1 Guidezone is not liable for any indirect damages or losses incurred from the use of the Service.
10.2 Guests agree not to hold Guidezone responsible for accidents, losses, or issues occurring during activities booked through the Service.

11. Modifications to the Service

11.1 Guidezone reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time.
11.2 Changes to the Service do not entitle users to refunds or compensation.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Guests must first contact Guidezone for any disputes. Mediation may be required before legal proceedings.
12.2 All disputes are governed by Swedish law.

13. Photos and Media

13.1 Guidezone reserves the right to use photos taken during tours for marketing purposes unless explicitly requested otherwise by the Guest.

14. Miscellaneous Provisions
