About the tour

Reach the highest peak in Switzerland, Dufourspitze, standing at 4,634 meters! This challenging two-day climb takes you through glacial terrain with crevasses and steep slopes, offering breathtaking views along the way. As you approach the summit, the path narrows, adding an extra layer of challenge. With experienced guides, you will safely navigate these conditions and reach the summit, making this a memorable adventure.

This tour requires a high level of fitness and previous mountaineering experience. Be prepared for a long and strenuous climb with challenging conditions, and remember to bring your own technical equipment. Starting from Zermatt, you will hike to the Monte Rosa Hut on the first day, setting the stage for the ascent to Dufourspitze on the second day.

• Level: Level: AD (Assez Difficile / Fairly Difficult) / UIAA: III / F

• Number of people: Maximum 2 people

• Season: June - September. Winter on request.

• Duration: 2-3 days

Itinerary

• Day 1: Meet up and hike to the Monte Rosa hut. Preparation climb on the way. 

• Day 2: Preparation climb: Decided by the guide together with you

• Day 3: Ascent of Dufourspitze. Individual return.

Transportation (cable car or train)

Monte Rosa Hut: CHF 95 for you and CHF 59 for the guide 

Equipment rental: Harness, helmet, and crampons can be rented in the sports shops in the valley

NOTE: In case of unsuitable conditions, another activity is proposed by the guide. The guide also reserves the right to propose another activity if the level of the client is not suitable for the tour.
