Climb the Grand Combin (4'314 m.a.s.l.) accompanied by a IFMGA-certified mountain guide. Below you'll find details about the tour.

General

• Level: AD+ / 4 + (UIAA) / F4

• Number of people: Guide to guest ratio is 1:1 for this activity

• Season: Mid-June to mid-September

• Duration: 2 to 3 days

Itinerary

• Day 1: Preparation climb (Grand St-Bernard – Pain de Sucre)

• Day 2: Trek to Valsorey hut where you spend the night + a training climb

• Day 3: Ascent of the Grand Combin. Descent & back to the valley.

Additional costs

Overnight stay in an Hotel in the Valley ~ CHF 150
Overnight stay in Valsorey hut: CHF 90 for you and CHF 51 for the guide. Dinner & breakfast included.

Equipment rental: Harness, helmet, and crampons can be rented in the sports shops in the valley


The trip is recommended in 3 days, because there’s no lift access, and the climb is quite challenging on rock, snow and ice. It’s an excellent preparation for climbing the Matterhorn!

NOTE: In case of unsuitable conditions, another activity is proposed by the guide. The guide also reserves the right to propose another activity if the level of the client is not suitable for the tour.
